I have worked at Smith Partnership for over 17 years within the Company and Commercial Department. Initially studying accountancy in Glasgow, I decided that a career as a lawyer was my true calling so went back to university achieving a degree in law.
After spending a number of years in the industry I joined Smith Partnership in 2000 based at the Swadlincote offices before moving to the Derby branch in 2004 to work in the Company and Commercial Department. My main role is to understand my client’s businesses and help find pragmatic solutions to their situations.
Working alongside a variety of different businesses. I offer legal support in regards to commercial contracts or selling their company. I have provided advice on the sales and purchases of global network agents and the national supply of goods into one of the biggest banks.
Recently I advised on the multi-million pound sale of a software business to a US buyer as well as the sale of a large online retailer to a company overseas. I am also no stranger to working within the SME market.
Away from work I am a keen musician having worked in the music industry for many years. I also enjoy a round of golf as well as a whole host of sports.
