I joined Smith Partnership in 2006 completing my training with the firm before qualifying in 2009. Based at the firm’s Leicester office I specialise in area of children law and regularly act on behalf of parents whose children are subject to local authority care proceedings.
This role includes representing clients at both court hearings and during negotiations with the relevant local authority’s pre-proceedings. I have dealt with a number of complex cases involving non-accidental injuries, sexual abuse and issues of serious neglect and violence.
I also have extensive experience in private law and frequently work with parents, grandparents and carers in applications for Child Arrangement Orders, Prohibited Steps Orders and Special Guardianship Orders.
Some of the clients I have represented have involved cases such as relationship breakdowns, domestic violence and forced marriage. I have also dealt with applications for non-molestation and occupation orders.
In my spare time, I am a committed dancer and enjoy travelling abroad.
