I joined Smith Partnership in 2007 as a Partner, and I have more than 12 years’ experience in property law offering advice to major corporate and private clients.
I advise clients on a wide range of commercial property transactions, including complex freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals, landlord and tenant matters, development opportunities, refinancing and the property aspects of corporate transaction.
Acting for banks and other financial institutions when it comes to taking security over commercial property I also regularly negotiate facility arrangements with borrowers. I also have a broad knowledge of secured lending.
In 2013 I dealt with numerous financial transactions which ran into the millions of pounds. I am also an expert when it comes to offering advice to both landlords and tenants making sure they are both equally aware of their rights and entitlements in regards to property law.
During my career, I have worked on some extremely high profile cases including helping a landlord to successfully let a 25,000 sq ft property which has been transformed into an international engineering firm. I have also negotiated on the £500,000 investment from a major bank to a local luxury knitwear firm.
In recent years, I have also broadened my expertise in the healthcare sector particularly focusing on pharmacies. I have headed up a number of deals which included complex negotiations of multi-million pound acquisitions of a range of pharmacies across the Midlands.
Away from work, I am a keen football and cricket fan and avid supporter of Liverpool FC.
