I studied at Bristol University, obtaining my Master’s degree in Law in 1987. I have specialised in family law ever since.
A member of the solicitor’s family law association – Resolution, I am also an accredited specialist in the areas of complex matrimonial finance issues and family court advocacy.
Over the years, I have worked on a variety of cases and have developed particular expertise in cases involving substantial financial assets (including family trusts and farms) on divorce. I am also practised in the complexity of welfare benefit regulations when they arise on separation.
I also work as a family mediator, this involves me helping a couple to reach an agreement when their relationship has broken down. I work with them to make the best decisions for their circumstances. Mediation can also help with issues regarding children and I am a member of the Law Society’s Children’s Panel.
Outside of work I can be found pottering about in my garden or studying British social history, something I greatly enjoy.
