While I have always worked within the legal profession, I was formerly a paralegal, it was in 2004 that I qualified as a solicitor.
Since qualifying I have undertaken all aspects of family law work including private and public children cases. I became a member of the Children Panel five years ago and I have gained a great deal of experience in public law proceedings.
I became a member of the Smith Partnership team in January 2017, specialising in public law, representing parents, children and grandparents in care and supervision proceedings, discharge of care applications, adoptions and special guardianships applications. I undertake my own advocacy in court.
When I am not at work I like to travel, garden and keep fit. I also enjoy scuba diving. I am also a fan of John Grisham novels as the stories always have a legal story backdrop.
