My legal life began when I lived in New Zealand, where I obtained the status of Legal Executive. I started working for Smith Partnership as a Secretary in 1992, working in various departments within the firm, and gained much valued experience along the way.
After being with the firm for nine years, and when my children were older, I decided to put my Legal Executive training to good use and became a fee earner with the firm. I initially worked in the Civil Litigation Department, and subsequently moved to the Wills and Inheritance Department.
I enjoy meeting clients from all walks of life. As a Private Client Adviser, I act on behalf of many clients to manage their financial affairs under attorneyships or case managing deputyships, administering estates, preparing Wills and all types of Power of Attorney documentation. I also specialise in Court of Protection work.
I have been involved with Age UK for many years and established a monthly surgery at their Derby branch where people can make appointments to speak with one of our team members regarding their legal issues.
I have been with Smith Partnership for over twenty-six years and, throughout that time, have helped thousands of people with their legal problems. Outside of work, I love to spend time with my family.
