Smith Partnership sponsors Derby Property Summit 2016

Smith Partnership is one of largest firms of solicitors in the East Midlands based in Derby, with an investment in the city’s future, as a bondholder for Marketing Derby.

In recent years its increased presence in the region has seen the company play a key role in the Derby business community, having its head office in the city centre, and working with several high profile clients, such as Derby County Football Club.

Smith Partnership is a young and ambitious company that see the benefits of partnering with Marketing Derby, not only as a bondholder, but to be a part of its 2016 programme of investor events, in order to raise the profile of the City and its own organisation.

In March 2016, Smith Partnership and Marketing Derby worked together by attending MIPIM in Cannes, which is the global commercial property show. The show consistently attracts 21,000 delegates from around the world each year - with more than 93 countries, 430 journalists and 4,500 investors amongst them.

Fraser Cunningham, Partner at Smith Partnership, said: “Attending MIPIM was a fabulous opportunity to show what Derby has to offer, to invite investment in our city's future from around the world, and to show just how Derby's professional community can assist investors.

“In ten years Marketing Derby has made massive strides in promoting and developing the city. We are very proud that Smith Partnership has been a part of that development and we will continue to do so in the long term!"

The Commercial Property Summit on Wednesday 22nd June is the next event Marketing Derby and Smith Partnership are presenting together for property professionals in the region.

Claire Twells, the Business Development Partner at Smith Partnership said: “Marketing Derby is an invaluable asset to the City and we are delighted to be a bondholder and event partner. Derby is a great place to live and work, and we believe this has a lot to do with the work of Marketing Derby, by continually promoting the City in order to support and attract new investment!”

The Midlands’ largest property event returns on Wednesday 22nd June at the iPro Stadium in Derby. With 400 senior-level delegates due to attend from across the UK, this event is a must-attend for anybody looking to do business in Midlands property.
