Smith Partnership offers expertise for new ‘YouTube’ employment law campaign

Smith Partnership was recently approached by one of the UK’s leading private trade union and employment law specialists, Castle Associates, to provide legal advice for its new YouTube social media campaign.

The ‘Ask the Expert’ campaign launched in May, answers commonly asked employment law questions, such as:

• What is constructive dismissal
• What is flexible working
• Why have an employment contract?
• What is ‘TUPE?’
• What is redundancy, and how is it dealt with?

James Johnson, Partner and Head of the Employment Law team at Smith Partnership said: “My team was delighted to be involved in this social media campaign to offer advice on a range of employment law issues.

“The short advice videos created by Castle Associates are a great way to share legal advice to the public and we hope they reach people who ordinarily wouldn’t have access to this advice for free via a trade union.”

Mark Ferron, Grievance, Disciplinary and Redundancy Specialist from Castle Associates said “We were delighted that Smith Partnership wanted to be involved in our new social media campaign and we thank them very much for their support.

“The campaign aims to make legal advice more accessible and available by putting commonly asked questions to expert employment solicitors.”

Castle Associates is one of the UK’s leading private trade union and employment law support specialists. Its goal is to deliver exceptional, affordable and practical support for individuals and employers dealing with a wide range of HR and employment issues.
