Smith’s support Largest Commercial Property Summit in the region

Over 400 delegates from the UK property and investment sector will attend the Pride Park Stadium for the annual Derby Property Summit, on Wednesday 21st June, hosted by Marketing Derby in partnership with Smith Partnership and LCR.

The team at Smith Partnership is once again very proud to be involved in the largest commercial summit in the region, which will bring together the individual strands of regeneration, property and development sectors, with insights from key industry speakers and city leaders – to discuss ‘Shaping the Post-Brexit City’.

Brexit has thrown up a number of unknown challenges, but people are still demanding vibrant cities with flexible, quality spaces that mix living, working and socialising. The Summit will focus on how everyone can meet these challenges head on and work together to maximise the potential of the city.

The broadcaster and journalist Declan Curry will act as MC throughout the event, with four key speakers: John Forkin - Managing Director of Marketing Derby, Greg Jennings – Director of Regeneration at Derby City Council, Melanie Leech – Chief Executive of the British Property Federation, Yolande Barnes – Director of World Research at Savills.

The expert speakers will be followed by a professional Q&A session, where Smith Partnership's Russell Davies, Partner and Head of Commercial Litigation accepted the invitation from Marketing Derby to be on the panel to discuss Regeneration in all the Regions.

Russell Davies Partner and Smith partnership said: “We are very proud to work alongside Marketing Derby as a partner to host Derby Property Summit each year; it really is amazing how far Derby has come as a city over the last decade. The panel will be a great opportunity for me to answer legal questions about the property market and share my knowledge regarding post-Brexit issues that we are all facing.

“Marketing Derby is an invaluable asset to the City and we are delighted to be a loyal bondholder and event partner, helping attract new investment and continually promoting the City on a national and international stage.”
