Smith’s Sparking New Connections at Women in Business
Smith Partnership was delighted to welcome over 50 business women from across the region who attended their sell-out Women in Business summer seminar on Thursday 6th July. With the delegates gaining powerful insight and self-coaching tips as to how our brain makes connections, from personal development business coach, Ursula Cameron.
The vibrant professional Women in Business programme created by the Chamber of Commerce and its three event partners, Smith Partnership, FCM Associates and Mercure Newton Park Hotel, was very well received, giving the delegates the chance to network over lunch and gain vital personal development skills and tips.
With an international career spanning 20 years in the coaching profession, Ursula helped the delegates experience techniques for coaching to explain how we learn and develop, the power of the mind and the influence of language; helping them to create their own positive solutions for issues they face.
Ursula Cameron said: “I was very proud to have been asked to speak to the ladies at Women in Business, and found the room to be full of positive energy. The ladies had a real a thirst for knowledge to improve their business skills and I was overwhelmed by the response after my talk – as it really resonated with them. Thanks to the WiB committee for inviting me to speak, it was an extremely rewarding experience for me and I made a lot of new business contacts for the future!”
Women in Business partner, Claire Twells, Partner at Smith Partnership Solicitors said: “We were so pleased to welcome yet another top class professional speaker to our summer event, Ursula Cameron, who is also a Prince’s Trust mentor and an associate lecturer at Derby University!
“The Women in Business partners always strive to book high quality and inspiring speakers for each event and Ursula’s talk really resonated with us all. We were also delighted to have raised £157 for our fabulous local charity Every Cloud, who buy gifts for people under-going breast cancer treatment. Thanks to everyone who donated a prize!”
