Personal Development Boost for Business Women
Following the celebrations of the third anniversary in March of its Women in Business programme, the Chamber of Commerce and its three event partners are pleased to announce their summer lunch time seminar on Thursday 6th July, at The Mercure Newton Park, in Newton Solney! The summer event offers local business women the chance to gain vital personal development skills and tips from Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) member, creative business coach and mentor, Ursula Cameron.
With an international career spanning 20 years in the coaching profession, Ursula will help the delegates create new skills to boost their personal development plans, helping them to create their own positive solutions for issues they face. They will also pick up tips on how to use psychology to get the best out of a business environment.
Women in Business partner, Claire Twells, Partner at Smith Partnership Solicitors said: “We are so pleased to welcome yet another top class professional speaker to our summer event, Ursula Cameron, who is also a Prince’s Trust mentor and an associate lecturer at Derby University!
“The Women in Business partners always strive to book high quality and inspiring speakers for each event and I know they ladies won’t be disappointed in July. We will also continue to raise money for a fabulous local charity Every Cloud, who buy gifts for people under-going breast cancer treatment.
“Our new venue was a big hit in March at the first event and we are looking forward to experiencing the same amazing hospitality and service at The Mercure Newton Park Hotel, and weather permitting, enjoying afternoon tea on the terrace!”
Derbyshire born and bred, mother and business owner Ursula Cameron said: “I feel very honoured to have been asked to speak to the ladies at Women in Business to help them boost their personal development skills, which will ultimately improve their businesses.
“Over the years I have trained people all over the world, from teams in huge corporations to individuals, who require specialists training to develop their careers and sometimes to change their career path completely. I find the work extremely rewarding and I love to see my clients create their own solutions and ideas, to shape their business and sometimes transform their lives!”
The ladies will enjoy a fresh afternoon tea lunch at The Mercure Newton Park, a grade-II listed, 18th century grand Italianate-style country manor in eight acres of private grounds. Mercure has joined FCM Associates and Smith Partnership Solicitors as programme partners for 2017 alongside the Burton & District Chamber of Commerce.
Wilma Gallagher, The Mercure Newton Park, General Manager said: “As Chamber members, we are delighted to host Women in Business in 2017. Our country hotel is a hidden gem just outside Burton, with facilities for all occasions, for both family and business events.
“Our Head Chef David Fox is very proud of his vegetable garden at the hotel, producing his own seasonal produce all year long for his freshly prepared menu. We look forward to welcoming the ladies and meeting Ursula in July.”
