Insightful Employment Law Seminar at Derby Museum

Smith Partnership was delighted with the response to its FREE seminar to local business owners at Derby Museum on 6th October, which provided an opportunity to refresh their memories regarding their ‘right to work’ responsibilities, and also offer some insight into the implications BREXIT may have in the future.

Britain’s vote to leave the EU on 23rd June 2016 caused shockwaves across the country and the rest of the world, with most people still really none the wiser as to what the impact might be on their business, and in particular Employment Law.

James Johnson, Partner at Smith Partnership said: “We were overwhelmed with the response to our event and were right in thinking it was an opportune moment to offer a free seminar to local businesses on these important issues.

“We were very pleased to welcome an expert from the East Midlands Immigration, Compliance and Enforcement Team, Andrew Limbert, who talked the delegates through the requirements for evidencing immigration status with some practical tips and key changes to be aware of in the Immigration Bill.”

James Johnson concluded: “We hope all the local business owners found the event to be a great opportunity to pick up some important legal information and practical tips. The team at Smith Partnership will continue to offer similar insightful business events in the future, and we look forward to sharing our expertise.”
