Dazzling Derby Museums first Enlightenment Ball 2016 raises £11,000!
Smith Partnership, one of largest firms of solicitors in the East Midlands, was delighted to partner with Derby Museums this year, to support the dazzling Derby Museum Enlightenment Ball on Saturday 15th October, which raised £11,000!
Derby Museums was very pleased to be hosting its first ever fundraising ball, sponsored by local chef Ralph Skripek of Butler’s Pantry, alongside Smith Partnership Solicitors. Held at the iconic Silk Mill, the event celebrated Derby Museums amazing past, whilst raising funds to provide excellent exhibitions and FREE entry.
Claire Twells, partner at Smith Partnership said: “It was a pleasure to partner Derby Museums this year, at their first ever fundraising ball. The event was a huge success and we believe it will become a must-go-to event in the city’s social calendar in the future; to help raise as much money as possible to support our local FREE museums.”
Tony Butler Executive Director of Derby Museum said: “We were over the moon to have raised £11,000 at our first Enlightenment ball which we believe showcased the great contribution Derby Museums makes to the cultural life of the city, as well as it being a spectacular night out!”
With a three course dinner by Chef Ralph Skripek and an after dinner talk with Tony Butler Executive Director of Derby Museums the evening continued with a charity auction, hosted by Charles Hanson.
