Creating a Zest for Life, Health and Business at Wib 3rd anniversary
Celebrating its third anniversary of its Women in Business programme, Smith Partnership and its three event partners are pleased to announce their spring seminar on Tuesday 7th March, at a new venue for 2017 The Mercure Newton Park, in Newton Solney!
The first event for 2017 offers local business women the chance to get healthy with exercise and nutrition tips from local fitness expert Kathryn Williams, who will help the delegates create a zest and balance in their lives, providing inspiration to make little changes to improve fitness and overall health.
Women in Business partner, Claire Twells, Partner at Smith Partnership Solicitors said: “We are thrilled to be bringing Women in Business to a new venue for 2017 to celebrate our third year; offering a new experience for our ladies in a beautiful rural setting with homemade refreshments and an exciting programme of four speakers for the year ahead.
“Everyone is getting back into a normal routine again now after Christmas, however exercise is always hard to fit in if you are working and looking after a home and family. Our fitness guru Kathryn is an inspiration to women across the region having created bespoke fitness programmes for 22 years.
“Kathryn is a mum of two and a business owner, so she understands the stresses everyone faces on a day to day basis. We hope the ladies enjoy the business networking opportunity and find some new ways to improve their health and fitness in 2017.”
KATHRYN WILLIAMS, FROM ZESTFIT SAID:
“I AM THRILLED TO HAVE BEEN ASKED TO SPEAK TO THE LADIES AT WOMEN IN BUSINESS TO HELP THEM MAKE LITTLE CHANGES DURING 2017, TO IMPROVE THEIR BODY AND MIND, WHICH I BELIEVE WILL ULTIMATELY MAKE THEM MORE SUCCESSFUL IN BUSINESS. I AM ALSO VERY EXCITED TO BE EXPANDING MY OWN BUSINESS BY OPENING MY FIRST BOUTIQUE TRAINING STUDIO NEAR DERBY SHORTLY, SO KEEPING HEALTHY IS ESSENTIAL FOR ME TO DO GOOD BUSINESS!”
The ladies will enjoy a fresh homemade buffet lunch at the new home for Women in Business in 2017, The Mercure Newton Park, a grade-II listed, 18th century grand Italianate-style country manor in eight acres of private grounds. Mercure will join FCM Associates and Smith Partnership Solicitors as programme partners for 2017 alongside the Burton & District Chamber of Commerce.
Wilma Gallagher, The Mercure Newton Park, General Manager said: “As Chamber members, we were delighted to be asked to be the new home for Women in Business in 2017. Our country hotel is a hidden gem just outside Burton, with facilities for all occasions, for both family and business events.
“Our Head Chef David Fox is very proud of his vegetable garden at the hotel, producing his own seasonal produce all year long for his freshly prepared menu. We look forward to welcoming the ladies and also listening to our first speaker Kathryn in March.”
The Women in Business committee will also continue to raise money at its events for its chosen charity Every Cloud in 2017!
