Success at The Silk Mill For ‘First Tuesday’ Professionals

The Silk Mill, was delighted to host Smith Partnership’s highly successful First Tuesday business networking event, on Tuesday 5th December 2017 – welcoming over 60 guests to meet over a festive lunch.

Smith Partnership, celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2017, has ran the popular lunch time networking initiative for Derby’s professional services community for over 12 years; offering local business owners the chance to meet and discuss shared issues and make new high quality business contacts.

A newcomer to the First Tuesday network Karen Cureton from Cureton Consulting said: “I attended my first “First Tuesday” event hosted by Smith Partnership, it was really busy and what was particularly interesting was the varied mix of businesses in the room.

“I really like to ethos that they move around different venues in the City and certainly it got me to a venue I had never visited. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend these events to anyone who wants to grow their network in Derby.”

Victoria Booth, Marketing Manager at Smith Partnership said: “We were overwhelmed by the attendance at The Silk Mill in December, as fellow Marketing Derby bondholders, we both share a passion for great customer service in the City centre!

“All our guests commented that is was a great place for our First Tuesday to meet, enjoy lunch and make new business contacts, with a view to generating new business leads.

“We look forward to our programme of events in 2018, celebrating our 13th year of the network!”
