About Melanie
Melanie is a Partner and manages our Swadlincote office.
Melanie specialises in all aspects of children and family law including divorce, financial applications before and after separation, private law children applications for residence / shared residence and contact, domestic violence and care proceedings. Melanie enjoys seeing her cases through from the start to its conclusion, and as such prides herself on undertaking the majority of her own advocacy.
Her expertise in these areas is formally recognised by the Law Society through membership of two specialist Panels – The Family Law Panel (Advanced) and the Children Panel.
Melanie is also a Resolution accredited specialist in domestic violence, a member of Derby and District Law Society Family Committee and attends meetings of the Family Justice Council.
When not working Melanie enjoys running, and also training for and competing in the sport of triathlon.
