Smith Partnership one of the Midlands leading regional law firms, has recently expanded its family team in Derby with the addition of a family law mediator.

Alison Tremeer is a Qualified Mediator and has also qualified as a Legal Executive and Collaborative Lawyer.

Alison has joined the firm bringing with her over twenty years valuable experience in family law. Her experience in family mediation has helped many couples resolve their disputes after separation or divorce, by helping them to look for their own solutions, rather than fight about them in the Courts.

She has extensive experience in all areas of law associated with the breakdown of a relationship and is a member of Resolution. Alison is qualified to consult with children should this prove necessary during the mediation process and has also been involved in delivering the Parenting Information Programme.

The arrival of Alison brings the number of qualified Family Mediators in the Derby team to 3, all of whom have over 20 years experience in family law. Ruth Jones leads the Family Law Team, and Janet Riley and Alison will now both head up the Family Mediation Team.
